Default Will Sling-O-Matic 10 hold body+70-200 and more lenses?

Hi guys,

I'm curious to find out if the Think Tank Sling-O-Matic 10 will hold a body with a 70-200/2.8 attached, and still have room below for a 18-200 and a 50 perhaps?

Think Tank writes:
"Carries a regular size DSLR and a 70-200 f2.8 attached with lens hood in position, or 2-3 additional lenses plus a flash"
Sling-O-Matic 10 - Sling Camera Bag

But I've been measuring a bit and even though it might be tight, I think there's room.

Would just like to know if anyone of you already own the Sling-O-Matic 10 and knows how it works with a 70-200?

Thanks.

Hi,

What body have you got on the 70-200 currently? --Standard body / No grip -- yes, it will fit.

It's the Nikon D7000.

Maybe I wasn't totally clear in my question

D7000 + Sigma 70-200 will fit easily (with lens hood in position) in all the sling-o-matic bags, as it's placed "on the long side". But what I was curious about was how much room there are for extra lenses below the D7000+Sigma lens. In the sling-o-matic 20 there's plenty of room because it's wider, but the sling-o-matic 10 is not as wide so I'm not sure if there's enough room for lenses below the dividers.

I guess you'd have to own one to really know what I mean

You're right, I would have to... ;-) (Or I'd have to work for TTP *waves* )

What I should have said better was, you will easily fit the 70-200 / Body OR three lenses and stuff...

Check out Ron Mart's blog post on the 10

Hope that helps.

Working for TTP wouldn't be too bad

According to Ron's review, about body+70-200, he writes:

There was still enough room for a 580EX II flash behind it as well.
Sounds to me as there's not enough room for any lenses then.

Too bad - guess I'll give Retrospective 20 a try then (already ordered it, but I'm still interested in the sling-o-matic 10 ... well, I was... not much fun if it doesn't fit anything else but body+70-200, and the sling-o-matic 20 is a bit too big for my taste and my lenses which is not "pro" sizes).

Thanks for your help though.

It's great... :-)

I have the 30 (Sling-O-Matic) ...it holds a LOT... but, the ten, I think you could make them fit - but it'd be tight!... I think the 20 will be a lot better suited, and allow you to grow your gear / if you want to.
