USA? About $500
Theyre not magic, though, and have their drawbacks. Note, as well, that it won't work with either of the two lenses you've listed in your signature.

I wouldn't recommend any TC for either of those lenses. With a 2x you will be at f/11 at the long end, and you will lose autofocus, plus you will have some loss of IQ. Even a 1.4x will give you f/8 and autofocus will be marginal at best. Been there, done that with a 70-300, and was not happy.

Must say, I use them sometimes and I'd recommend a 1.4 over a 2x whenever possible. I've used a 1.4x with a 28-300mm with good results...and I can recommend the Kenco TeleProPlus Series for quality and cost...
All that said, TC's are never a "first choice"...

TC's are not designed to work for lenses under 100mm and most will interfere at wider angles.... But to be honest even with a DX body the lenses I used a TC on were FX compatible so I can't say for sure...I do use a Kenco 1.4 on the Nikon 28-300 (which my Sigma 2x won't mount to and I've never actually owned a Nikon brand TC)

The Tamron 200-500 is a nice lens, I have one - but it won't autofocus on a gleded body like a D3100.
