Lens choice for White House tour

I have a White House tour scheduled in December to view the Christmas decorations. I'm super excited, but I need help deciding on what lenses to bring/rent.

I have a Canon 60D and a Sigma 10-20mm. I'm planning on renting another lens or two as needed.

Any suggestions? Carte Blanche - e.g. if there is something better than the Sigma covering wide angle, I'd be happy to rent it.
Any interesting composures that come to mind at specific focal lengths?

An additional, but very minor, consideration is that I'm looking to buy a new lens or two to fill the void left above 20mm by an old Tamron dieing. This would be a chance to try out potential candidates. (Right now I'm considering buying a Canon 24-105mm and / or a fast prime in the 24mm to 35mm range, like the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 or the Canon 35m f/1.4).

If you're considering buying the 24-105 then that's the one I'd rent to see if I like it enough to buy it. To me that's also a good range to have for a walk around lens in the White House.

I have to agree, the 24-105mm is definitely one you want to try out - there is good reason why it is one of the most popular zoom lenses ever.

Otherwise, you have the 24-70 to consider if you don't want/need the extra reach.

Don't forget about the 50mm 1.8 as an option for the fast prime.

I would really consider a 35mm F2 - much wider than the 50mm for use in a tight space

Fist have you reviewd the rules for White house tours? The list of prohibited items is extensive and includes Cameras.
