I bought the bokeh masters kit and a 50mm f/1.8 canon lens for my 450D.
When I put the disk on the mount thing with the rubber band in front of the lens and put the aperture at 1.8 like it says - I get a perfectly exposed picture with no bokeh design in the picture at all. What am I doing wrong??? Thanks

You need some points of light in the background to create the shapes. If you're shooting an evenly lit scene, the background will just blur out, but not exhibit the spots you're wanting.
This poster used Christmas lights in the background to create the effect. If you did something with your kit, those colored circles would be shaped like the filter. Bokeh Vomit |
