Nice !!! Thank you for posting. I am just starting to research lenses for my DSLR and am happy to read your comments. Sigma 70-300mm Macro is starting to sound like a good choice !

What's the difference between using a digital camera and using film? Which one would get higher quality?

Pros: inexpensive, comes with a lens hood, can function as a macro (1:2), versatility
Cons: needs good light (can hunt for focus), soft above 200mm
If you want an inexpensive zoom lens, look no farther then this. It can be used for portraits, outdoor sports, and nature/macro photography. This lens is nice for trying out macro, even though it is not true macro which is 1:1, not the 1:2 this lens has. It can manage some outdoor sports, but if this is something you shoot a lot, a faster lens might be better.
What's the difference between the APO http://www.amazon.com/Sigma-70-300mm...6&sr=8-3-fkmr0 and the non-APO Amazon.com: Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon SLR Cameras: Camera & Photo Thanks.

Default Need help choosing the best Ultra-Wide lens?

So there's a couple that I have my eye on, from Amazon:

Sigma 10-20MM ($479)

Tokina 11-16MM ($659)

Tokina 12-24MM ($599)

Nikon 10-20MM ($899 and higher)

I own a D7000. I'm more interested if it will AF, which I'm sure they all do. I'm just hoping to hear some reviews on here about these lenses, if anyone have of what I've listed. I can't seem to make up my mind and go with the lowest, which would be the Sigma and save money, or just go with the best, which would be the Tokina. I left out Nikon, because I just think it is way too overpriced, but would I be wrong, on that one? I'm looking to make a good investment out of the lens, whatever it may be and I will want to have it for a long time. Looking forward to hearing what people have to say..

Thanks!
