Newbie with exposdisc question

I know how to use the expodisc as far as it telling me how to apply and then to aim and shoot towards the light source and it sets it after I hit ok...my question is, does it keep that new white balance setting in the auto mode or must I shoot in manual? Just curious. thanks

Depends on your camera...Some allow you to save it as a "custom wb" which can be recalled later.
