Used Pocket Wizard multi max and Light Meter advice!

Pocket Wizard Multimax Tranceiver x 2
Sekonic L-358 Light Meter

Are these things fairly safe to buy used? Do they ever require servicing from normal use, or have any issues that would definitely require a warranty?

I have no experience with these, but have an opportunity to get these items used for a very good price.

If any one does have any experience with these, and could share it with me, I would appreciate it.
