Alright, so I was told a while back that a 100mm prime would be good for shots like these...
![]() ![]() See now I'm pretty sure that a macro lense will be able to do these kind of captures, plus the bonus of shooting macro (which has always fascinated me). So I was just wondering if somebody could make sure that it will be able to do the job. Thanks.

Just because it's a macro lens doesnt mean it cant be used for other things. It'll work fine for general shooting as a 100mm f/2.8 prime.
For the subject matter at hand, though, not likely: because it's a macro lens the AF system is slow but precise: it'll be soo slow for tracking your subject, I suspect.

Awesome shots and makes my decision that much easier! And Glenn I'm not sure when I'll be getting it but I'll be sure to post some shots with it and let you know
