Default Difficult Decision on a lense!

Alright so I've been looking around for an ultra-wide lense.
My choices are as follows
Canon 10-22mm
Sigma 10-20mm
I will be shooting in well lit areas, or i will be doing long shutter speeds, with a tripod of course. So the F-Stops aren't really a problem.
I've heard that they are both very similar in shot quality and so on.
But i was just wondering if anyone on this forum has one, and can tell me what it is like to use.
And also with the sigma, has there been any problems with the focusing and so on (Ive read there is some manufacturing problems with the sigma)
Oh, and the Tamron 10-24mm, if you have used that throw that in as well
Any comments would greatly appreciated! and even some examples would be fantastic!

I would vote Canon, because Ive actually tried it and it's quite nice. If you do get the Sigma, though, make sure to get the one with the variable aperture instead of the fixed f/3.5 one. Its better.

Thanks for that. Yeah plus te variable apertures is also cheaper. I was just in a photography store and they said that the sigma was better quality and they dint stock the canon because of that reason. So I still am undecided!

Dont go back to that camera store. They're on commission and they make more on Sigmas than they do on the Canon/Nikon branded lenses.

I've been doing this same research myself and I think I will go with the Canon over the Sigma as it seems to handle flare better.
Both lenses seem very comparable and but the Canon has fewer QA problems and will hold its value better then the Sigma if you decide to upgrade to a full frame camera in the future.
I found a nice comparision review here:

Ken Rockwell seems to think very highly of the Canon 10-22 lens. This will be the lens that I get once I get through the Christmas holidays.
