Default Canon or Vivitar grip?

I was searching B&H Photo today trying to find a battery grip for my Canon Rebel xsi. The grip from Canon is $119 but the grip made for my camera from Vivitar is $60. Huge difference! Does anyone have an opinion on if I should stick with Canon brand or is the Vivitar just as good?

I have a T1i and was able to hold and use both grips before purchasing one. I felt like the Canon was much more sturdy and well-built, but not life-alteringly so. My grip is always on, so I'm glad I went with Canon, I think it will hold up better in the long run, but that being said, the Vivitar isn't bad and will most certainly get the job done.

I went the cheapo way and got my generic grip from eBay for less than $60 with two batteries included. It has worked just fine. B&H is very reputable seller so you'll most likely be fine with either one you choose. I'd go for the cheaper one.

As a general rule, stick with the OEM branded item. In this case, Canon.

That's what I was leaning more towards. Just trying to justify the huge price difference. Thanks to everyone for the replies. Everyone here is so helpful!
