I'm going to be purchasing my next lens, and am trying to decide between 2. For my clients I'm mostly doing portraits (senior pictures, babies, families, etc). No weddings yet. I currently use my 50mm 1.4 almost exclusively. I end up cropping almost every photo in post-processing so I'd like to cut that step out if I can while not compromising sharpness, bokeh, etc.
Sooo... I've narrowed it down to these 2 lenses both have gotten good reviews although the Pentax lens has ONLY good reviews (that I've seen), but of course it's about twice the price. While I do have the $ right now... I think if I got the Tamron I could also get an external flash which I don't currently have. Pentax 50-135 2.8 Tamron 28-75 2.8 Any input is appreciated...

I think the focal length of the Pentax would be more suited to what you need. Higher quality too.
(WHat is it with Pentax and WEIRD focal lengths?)

Thanks for the feedback... that's where I'm leaning too. I just have to swallow the price tag as an investment in the business I'm trying to build...
The user reviews I've read on it are great (as much as you can trust those).
