This is the software section, I wonder if anyone else has run into this problem do you have a solution? If you look at the image (attached) you'll notice that the aspect ratio is 1.498 instead of 3:2 and also if you look closely at the bottom of the image there is black edges to the image.
I don't know if this is because I'm using ufRAW and GIMP or if it's because my camera is taking the shot with an unusual pixel count for some reason. The original RAW image can be downloaded here if someone wouldn't mind testing it in their own software - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1068102/IMG_3356.CR2 Fullscreen capture 10122010 93553 PM.jpg PS: I think I posted this in the wrong forum. Sorry

you`ll note that 3:2 is 1.5 - so your 1.48 is very close.
Take a close look at the pixel count of your images, chances are they don`t divide evenly to 3:2 - most camera`s are close, as there are some masked pixels on the borders for the technical process of how digital exposure works. I would bet that it is normal - as long as your pixels are = to the specs of the pixels listed on your camera... |
