Im looking to add a lense to my photo gear... I am currently using a Canon 50D and have two lenses: Kit lense 18-135 and the 50 1.8.
I want to be able to take some good, lower light inside photos. These two lenses are in the price range I am comfortable with, but do not know which would be best. Any thoughts???

there are countless comparisons with these two lenses...
10-22 for excellent flare control, and that extra 1mm 11-16 for low light, and lower price i've read that some wide angle fanatics own both. you really can't go wrong with either.

Of what? The two lenses you've listed are ultra-wides, which is great, but they're specialized lenses. If you're doing architecture, then a tripod is a must and so the max aperture of the lenses doesnt matter.

Then why are you looking at ultrawides?

Most of the local nightlife takes place in fairly small, confined spaces. I want something that can grab a larger view of what all is going on around the subject, and I have other lenses that will let in enough light if I want to be far enough away to grab a closer shot. Hope this makes sense... Im rather inexperienced because I am just getting back into photography after several years away.
Anyways, I ended up going with the Tokina lens. Just got it today, but looks, feels and shoots very well! As high quality as I had hoped! Thanks to all the help for those who offered their assistance! Jeff
