Default Tripod recommendations

I find myself enjoying taking photographs at night and since I live in Barcelona, Spain it is great for night photography.
I currently have a cheap tripod that gives me way to much frustation when I am trying to shoot from a tripod. With that being said I am in the market for a new tripod.
Budget for Tripod and Head around 200 euros, but I can go a bit higher if needed.

I was thinking about a Manfrotto 190XPROB or 055XPROB but unsure of the head. I think I want to go with a ball head for ease of adjustment.

I currently have the following photography equipment.

Canon 450d
18-55mm kit lens
55-250mm lens

Eventually I want to get into Macro photography which is the reason why I chose the XPROB, however I also might want to get a 100-400mm lens (which appears quite heavy).

Any tripod head suggestions or other combinations would be welcome. Looking at buying a good tripod and the ability of being somewhat future proof in case i buy heavier lenses and other equipment. Weight isn't a prime consideration as I am in fairly good shape and don't envision extremely long hikes.

Thanks in advance.

Ok looks like I will probably go for the Manfrotto 190XPROB with a Manfrotto 496RC2 head as these seem to pair up well together.

Ive been seriously looking at the 055XPROB with an 804RC2 (3 way) head. Ive never liked ballheads: too imprecise.

Great tripod. I went with that exact same pair. The 190XPROB and the 496RC2. I like the ball head because it gives me more control. The pistol grips are nice but they wear out if you use it a lot and you can't see what's wrong with it except for the fact that it doesn't stick anymore. The pistol grips also add too much sticking out the side or up top.

190XPROB combine with a 804RC2 head here. Very nice tripod. A friend of mine has the same since 3 years. He's rough with his stuff and still feel like new.

I like the way you can tilt the central pole. Very usefull for tricky angles.
