Hello all,
I'm in the market for a new tripod to replace the faithful yet utterly rubbish £15 Argos one I've been using. Now, I've picked legs - Manfrotto 055XPROB based on function and budget - but now comes the head. The query to the wordly wise is twofold: 1. Is it true (as told to me by a young chap in a high street photographic retailer) that Giottos and Manfrotto heads fit on each other's legs? and, if so, 2. From anybodies experience what are the views on the Manfrotto MN804RC2 or Giottos MH5011 3-ways? Ta very much in advance for assitance in this. Yours, first time poster etc etc

Both Giottos and manfrotto use the 3/8" attachment screw, yes they'll mount.
THe 055XPROB and 804RC2 is that pairing I've been looking at for myself for some time. I'd just say go for it.
