Smile Help with camera bag please.

Hi, first post on this forum. Having trouble deciding on which bag is best for my canon 40D and 24-105mm lens. After a bag just for this set up to take on day trips/outings etc. Prefer an easy access to camera type bag, something like a top loader or other, just has to be a snug fit with enough room for my op/tech pro loop strap on the 40D. camera will not have a grip attached, thanks for your help. Bill.:

I have the Lowepro 250 and love it. They do make smaller version, the 100 and 200 which might be more of what you are looking for.

Lowepro - Fastpack 250

Check the link that matneym sent for other bags. Lowepro makes a quality bag for a reasonable price. They have many different sizes and styles. I use the Slingshot 102AW.

Why bother with a camera bag when there is so little equipment? Camera bags are just draws for criminals.

Just use a camera/computer backpack and a good vest.

I have used:

(1) Lowepro Nova 2 AW
Small "traditional" shoulder bag. However you to have to reverse or take the lens hood off. Small amount of room for spare batteries/cards etc, Reasonably priced.

(2) Kata H14 Holster/shoulder.
Fair bit bigger and can carry a 580 flashgun as well a spare lens.
Probably a bit too big..

(2B) Think Tank Digital holster 20 - A fair bit smaller but also works with their "webbing" system. No extra room for anything except a spare battery/card

(3) Think Tank Urban Disguise 30
"Stylish" Shoulder bag has enough room for an external flash + cards etc as well. My favourite small go any where bag.

@Photologyst
Backpacks are not allowed in some areas and can be difficult to access your gear. Photo vests scream "photographer" and are entirely inappropriate in some areas. I own a number of backpacks and two Domke vests.
