Default Looking for vertical grip

Have a budget and considering off-brand grip for my Canon 50d...any recommendations?

Considering the actual Canon unit is only $150, just grab that.

If you don't go Canon OEM then def go Opteka about as close to the OEM as you can get.

Being a hobbyist I went the off brand way. Got one from Ebay at third of the price of the original and it came with two batteries which had about the same mA as the original. So far it has worked fine and power doesn't drain even if the grip power button is left to on all the time.

Just make sure you pick a reputable seller if you go this way.
