Default Canon 8-15/4 Fish

Circular+Full frame fisheye, quite an impressive piece of kit.

I couldn't find anything. If I had to make a wild guess, I'd put it at $1600.

Couldn't find anything either but it still very early.

Something around 1.5k would be a good price.

The press release has the MSRPs.

Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM lens: $1400
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM lens: $1500
Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens: $7000
Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens: $11,000
Canon Extender EF 1.4x III & Canon Extender EF 2x III: $500 each

The thing I find worrisome is how Canon removed the non-L $500 EF 70-300 IS USM from the lens lineup, and the old 15mm fisheye. Just like they've removed the non-L 100/2.8 Macro from the lineup. The lens pricing is starting to look a lot more like Nikon's. (sigh). Good solid midrange $400-$600 choices are getting wiped out and replaced with $1k+ L lenses.... And all the Mk II great whites are significantly more expensive than the lenses they'll be replacing.

And still no EF-S 35mm f/1.8 USM....

Yeah $7000 for a 300/2.8 is nuts.

Well, it's not like the MSRP is going to be the street price, but that's still higher than one would expect, given that the MkI version goes for $4500. The Nikon one is, what, $5500?

VR2 is ~5800

The 400 is about 7500.

They'll probably get MSRP for it. People who need the stuff just buy it, whatever the price is.
