Hello + 70-200mm, is it a good deal?

Hi All,

First off, hello, I am new here, hoping to become quite a regular in the community (not been on a forum for years, so its good to start doing it again)

So that's my introduction out of the way! heh

My post is in regards to a second hand lens I'm planning on purchasing from a work colleague, it is a canon 70-200mm with IS, but it is the Mk I version.

His going to throw a canon X2 extender in also..

all in, his asking for £900 (1,405USD)

My primary question is, how do people rate the 70-200mm "Mk I" compared to the "Mk II" ?

and is it worth the money his asking for it?

Might sound like a silly question, but i am still quite new to all of this, hope you are able to help

Search for reviews. The 70-200mm f/2.8L USM IS Mark I is awesome.

If he took care of it the way it should be taken care of, then yes, it is worth it.
