Default Dream Lens

SO I finally got my dream lens... the Canon 70-200 f/2.8IS L MKII... though, I have to wait for a friend to go to NewYork to pick it up for me (I got it from Amazon and now it's sitting in my friend's office in NewYork - it's like punishment!!) can't wait to hold it...

I got her primarily for my music stuff, fast, stable and heavy enough to bash the odd stage diver! awesome...

What's your dream lens? and why?

I don't have any dream lenses as I have all the lenses I need now.

However the lens I like to use most, but not the most used, is the Canon 135 F2 L mainly because 135mm @ F2 gives you this:

(1)
Flowers at Pymble

(2)
The model.

(3) At ISO 3200 in very low light.

That is an awesome looking lens. I have no idea what my dream lens is. But I'll watch this thread and maybe learn a thing or two.

maybe a 135mm f/2 DC

wafer thin DOF, sharp... just awesome.

Back when I shot a lot of surfing, and wild life, my dream lens would have been a 400 f/2.8

I don't have time to shoot either anymore, but when I did I used a 300 f/4 with a 1.4 TC.

Really don't have a need for a lens that I don't already own.

Changed my mind.....I'd love to have a Nikon 200 f/2

But, Sime... it's WHITE. All the best lenses are big, black, with gold rings on the end. Everybody knows that!

Congrats on achieving your dream lens! That's a rare happenstance. Ignore those who would harsh your mellow.
