Default Car interior mount

Hey all,
I would like to find a good stable mount to use inside of my car to take some pics while driving. All I've seen so far are held in place by strong suction cups. I can't image this being very sturdy and clear when taking shots with long exposures. Do you guys have any experience using any mounts inside of your car? I would like some advise on this before purchasing and being let down.......

Thanks!

Would a gorilla pod work. You could use the headrest or something to anchor it.

I have suction cups and they are the most sturdy thing next to a tripod welded to the frame of the car.

Trust me.

Yes suction cups are your best bet. I specialize in Automotive Photography and without them I wouldn't survive.

As far as interior shots. Even with suctions cup at a long exposure and higher rate of travel you will get vibrations. You car moves with the road and there is no way to avoid that especially with you camera brace being the car. So usually I just use a IS lense and a slower shutter speed. and with a steady hand you can get a great shot. Hope this helps.

I know some GPS systems use a bean bag holder. Seems to me that those will not transmit as much vibration to the camera, so for the heck of it, I did a Google search and I think I have your answer:

Photographer's Bean Bag for Camera Support
