Default Question on a different lens

Hello All,

I've been on holiday to Lanzorote and I'm so pleased with my shots, however, I used my standard kit lens then my zoom. Is there a lens that would be in between? For instance, say if I wanted to take a shot closer than my kit lens but not too close for my zoom. One example was I had my zoom attached and wanted a shot of some friends in a group, I seemwed to have to move back, obviously, but I thought there must be an in between.

Thank you,

Best wishes,
Graeme

What lenses do you have?? I assume your kit lens is something like 18-55, but what is the tele (zoom) lens you're talking about?? Camera?

a 50mm lens would be a good place to start. it is about the same as what our eye's see the world at. it is inexpensive and a great lens for portraits. group and individual.

Hello,

I have a kit lens which came with the camera, Sony A200, but I just wondered if there was something in between.

Best wishes

I believe the standard kit zoom for the A200 is an 18-70, but that would match perfectly with a 70-300, so I am not sure what is going on here. I think we need a bit more information.

There is nothing "in between" a 18-70 and a 70-300. Switch lenses and use the zoom function to get the FOV you need.

I get the impression you want something that dissects the range of the two lenses you now have. Probably in the 24-105mm range. How much money have ya got?
