Camera Recommendations Needed!

I'm looking to upgrade my camera, but am not sure what to get. Right now I'm looking at the Canon eos 5D mark ii, but I've heard it's not as fast as many other cameras I could be looking at instead. So I'm wondering: what do you use? Why do you like it? Is there something else you'd recommend as well?

I'm a Canon girl. I need whatever I get to be good with my wedding photography and portraits, but also quick enough to capture sports cars, boats, and little children!

I'm also looking at purchasing new lenses as well--particularly for Wedding Photography. What lenses do you use, and why do you like each one?
