Default Studio Lighting

Looking into the possibilities of getting a small studio setup.
Was thinking two strobes,
Probably Alienbees B400, and B800.
10 foot pole for the main light, and a small one for lighting up the wall behind, or as a rim light or hair light.
I believe I would need a softbox. I was thinking medium sized... and then what would I need for the one used as a rim light?
Tips? Can anyone point me in the right direction! Please and thanks!
