Hello All
I'm looking for a sling bag that would be good for travelling. All I need to put in the bag is my camera with battery grip, some batteries, maybe 1 extra lens (55-250mm). I saw one from case logic that looks pretty good. Where I could sling it forward and grab the camera out of the bag easily. However doesn't look like that fit my camera with the battery grip on. Do you guys have a fav bag or recommendation. I want something that is light and easy to swing around and whip out my camera. I love my battery grip because it provides almost endless power. Thanks Jason I have a Canon EOS Rebel t1i with regular battery grip. I have 18-55mm kit lens & 55-250mm lens. |

After much consideration, I am buying the Kata KT D-3N1-20 Sling/Backpack for a week and a half long trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. The positives is that it is large enough to hold all of the gear I was planning to bring, it fits the specs for carry on luggage at most major airports, the straps can be manipulated so that it can be a sling, normal backpack, or an "xpak" with the straps crossed for things like biking and hiking. The last positive is the quick draw feature where the camera can be loaded with lens and grip (up to 70-200L series) and can be accessed with one zipper or left open so it is right at your fingertips if you have it as a sling. The negatives are that the main zipper does not open all the way so your top dividers are a little hard to access, and the material does not breathe very well which really are kind of minor.
I have also heard good things about the Lowepro Slingshot series as they are comparable in price and features. I owned a Rezo180AW bag from them and was pleased, but I went for the kata in the end. Good Luck!
