Default Lightroom Vs DxO Optic

Good day,

DxO optic currently have a 70$ off if you buy from their site and I'm tempted to buy it. The problem is I don't have much time to use the trial since the offer is endind tomorrow. So, I'm turning towards this community for more information.

Appart from distortion correction, is there any other feature this software do better than Lightroom 3 ? All my pictures are done through Lightroom and I really like the result, but I'm always open to other solutions. I tried Nikon Capture NX2.0, didn't really liked it and Photoshop is to complex for what I do.

Any info could be usefull,
Thanks everyone

Well sometimes you can try too hard to fix a problem that isn't there. If you're happy with LR then stick with it. Haven't tried this but I've been happier with LR than anything else I have tried.

Absolutaly and like I said, I'm quite happy with LR. It does everything I want. I just happened to see DxO Optic on sale and I was looking for comments from someone who's actually used it.

Distortion with my current equipment is minimal so I basically wanted to know if there was something else the software could bring me.

For now, the answer is no

Does DxO have better distortion correction than Lightroom 3? I think it works great in LR3 at least with my lenses and profiles.

I had tried DX0 before LR3 when there was no calibration in LR2. Now that LR3 has it I really don't see the need for DXO. It is really amazing what you can do now in LR3.
