Default Kata 3N1 30 or Lowepro Flipside 300?

Can anyone offer me any advise regarding a camera bag please? I am looking for a bag that will hold my Canon 500D with either my Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 or EF 18-55mm lens attached with the alternative stowed. I would like quick access which would suggest a side opener but I want to carry my tripod as well which limits my choice to the above bags. I think that the Kata is probably a bit big for what I need at the moment but I'm really not sure about the Lowepro opening on the back. Does anyone have any experience with either of these bags or suggestions of alternatives? I would greatly appreciate your opinions on this.
Thanks.

have you considered one size down for each model? i.e. 3n1-20

i compared the two in a store and I went with the kata because I felt it was of higher quality.

I've considered it but I don't think I can get the camera with the 70-200mm attached in (unfortunately the shops over here don't stock a very good range so effectively I will be buying it sight unseen ). I know it shouldn't be a major problem but I'm still not very comfortable changing lenses "on the go" for fear of dropping it or getting dirt or dust in the camera, so I'd rather have the lens on before I leave home and only change it if really necessary.

I would agree with you regarding the quality of the Kata I have seen in the shop (3n1-10), it seems excellent. What's your opinion of the Kata now that you've been using it for a while?
