Default Tokina 12-24 f/4

I never shoot wildlife or surfing anymore, and have my 300 f/4, and 1.4 TC up for sale.

I'm wanting something wider than my 17-55, and am thinking about the Tokina 12-24.

I've read reviews till I'm blind. Its seems about 60% love it, and 40% say its pretty bad with CA.

I could buy the Nikon version, but I need a new surfboard too.

Never bought a 3rd party lens before.

I played with it a few years ago, and I really liked it. If I wasn't full frame I'd have one. Most wide angle lenses are going to have some CA, but the current Nikons are really good with the auto corrections.

I like mine - sharp and well built. Here's an example:

I prefer both the Sigma 10-20 and the Tokina 11-16 before the 12-24. That being said, I vastly prefer my Nikon 10-24 to either.
