I will be taking 2 extended international trips this coming year (2 months Brazil, 6 weeks Cambodia). I have a Nikon D5000 with the 2 kit lenses (18-55, 70?-200).
First, what suggestions for storage when I'm not carrying a computer? Can you plug straight into a drive? What about the Epson P-x000 or Wolverine ESP? Maybe one of these plus a cloud/online storage? Also, looking for suggestions re lenses as I don't really want to carry 2. I would like to get a lens with stability because I have a tremor but I also don't want to spend a fortune. (These trips are made possible by a "temporary retirement" - my up-version of being laid off.) Thanks for info and advise. Julie Last edited by jorf; 05-28-2010 at 12:16 PM. |

I have used products like these in the past with no problems.
May be called wolverine - depending where you live VOSONIC Other manufacturers make similar products (not necessarily with a screen to view pics.) I'm a cannon shooter so I am not real familar with Nikon lenses however they to make walk around lenses with VR (Vibration Reduction)

If you *need* a walkaround solution, think of which end you want more of: wide or long.
If you want wide: 16-85 f/3.5-5.6 VR If you want long: 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 VR
