You get more features with it. But on another note, is anyone having trouble downloading the trial version?

Does anyone know what the specific features are though?

I did a bit of searching, and the only thing CS5 Extended has over CS5 is 3D rendering. If that's the only difference, then I'm definitely just getting CS5

Bump

The only difference I've found so far is CS5 Extended can edit/create "3D images and motion-based content"

Is that the only difference though? Cause if so, I'm going to save myself some money and just get CS5...

Adobe - Photoshop CS5 Extended: FAQ

Quote:
What is the difference between Photoshop CS5 Extended and Photoshop CS5?

Photoshop CS5 Extended delivers all of the unrivaled image-editing power of Photoshop CS5 and more, including breakthrough 3D image creation, editing, and painting; rich motion graphics editing, and powerful image analysis. For complete details on the features of each product, compare Photoshop CS5 editions.

It sounds like you're correct. The main differences are the 3D rendering and tools for creating interactive elements.
