I have a Canon 50/1.8 that I bought instead of the kit lens with my Rebel XTi, but now that I have the 35/2 (which is the Nifty Fifty equivalent with the conversion factor figured in), I must confess, it hasn't come off my camera since I put it on. I take low-light candids of my fast moving children, mostly. Love it!

Default My favourite lens

I use my Nikkor 55-200mm the most out of my three lenses. I love the long lens, gives good depth of field and it's fast. Also, I can zoom in pretty close no matter how far away I am. It's great for sports shots. I love it.

My 14-45mm, by far. I've used the 40-150mm a few times, but I do a lot of close-up work, and practically everything I do is hand-held. The 14-45mm is probably my most versatile lens, and I find I can get the right distance with it for some of my shots.

Which isn't to say there haven't been times I've wished I had the other lens, but for now ... the 14-45mm does the trick :

Outdoor: I use 18-200mm VR most as it is just too handy
Indoor: I use 20-35mm f/2.8 most for it's speed and angle of view.

I use my 18-135mm the most. It is sharp, has nice contrast and good colors. It is just a bit slow being a kit lens, but it's other qualities more than make up for that in most situations.

I'll second that Tamron 28-75. The range is perfect for a walk-around. I switch to my 50mm f1.8 indoors a lot. It's perfect inside restaurants with low lighting.

Thumbs up It's in the Lens

I use a Cannon 28-135mm lens with image stabilization. I love it for it's versatility....I can get close shots and far shots without having to change my lens. It also has a macro feature, which just adds to its versatility.
