Default Help me choose a FIlter

After saving up for so long I finally purchased the 16-35 2.8L. I now need a filter. Can somebody recommend be a good brand. I know I need a 85mm, but their are so many different kinds! I like the neutral desnity ones as this one

Hitech | 85mm Graduated ND 0.9 Resin Filter - Soft | HT140885

but any other suggestions are welcome. I dont want it to add any effects.

Thanks everybody

PS I do a lot of portrait modeling work.

Hi,

I'm not quite sure what you're looking for, as you say you don't want to add effects but you link to a "graduated neutral density" filter for a Cokin filter system.

Are you looking for that type, or just a filter to protect the lens? I have no complaints about B+W UV filters. I read somewhere here that multi-coated filters are less susceptible to flare. My local reputable camera store sells normal B+W and multi-coated Hoya.

By the way, if you're talking about a Canon 16-35 2.8L II USM check the filter size. You mention 85mm but my list says 82mm.

THanks! Im sorry i meant 82mm. When I said no special effects I meant nothing not to dramatic I knows theres filters out there that do wierd over the top enhancements (hope that doesnt confuse anybody). Im looking for either an anti-flare or neurtral density. Ill have to do more research. I was just seeing if anybody had any recommendations for good ones.
