Default Looking For A New Monitor

I need to get a new monitor. My current monitor sucks! I have a Dell Ultra Sharp 2209. I really like Dell monitors and this one was on sale at a great price from Dell. Now I see why. For the past year, I have had the hardest time getting this monitor calibrated, which I did not have with my previous 19" Dell Ultra Sharp. I bought two very good calibrators. I am currently using a Color Munki. I am using a Geforce 9800GT, so my video card is not lacking or cheap.

Anyway, I am looking at another Dell, the U2410. It gets some pretty good reviews, but all of the reviews compare it to gaming performance. I want to get photographers opinions on which monitors you all think are the best.

Thanks.

Hi Rouxter,

I have two 24" Sceptre's that I got from Costco about a year ago. They cost me $239 each which was a steal. I couldn't find a seller selling my particular monitors besides Amazon and a few other no name online-stores. The Amazon price is pretty high.

Anyway, I haven't had any problems with the monitors whatsoever. No dead pixels, and no flickering. My previous monitor was a ViewSonic 19", I haven't had any personal experience with Dell monitors, but the reviews look good. If you can go for the large sizes and dual set-up, it's totally RAD! So much screen real estate to work with.

Hope that helps you out.

Cheers!
