Default Camera bag for beginners

Right now, I'm embarrassed to say, I keep my camera in the same bag with all my other stuff. It's a small bag, an extremely basic camera bag, and provides no protection to my camera from the other stuff in the bag. I've been looking around for a good camera bag, preferably a sling. I'm also hoping to find one that I can swing over my shoulder and quickly pull out from a side pocket or something.

There are two bags I like, the daPRO from deviantart, and a lowepro slingshot 100 AW. They both have their pros and cons, but I wanted some opinions on which would be better for someone who is constantly on the go and often not in very good areas. The bag I have now could easily be swiped from my shoulder if I wasn't paying attention.

Of course, if there is another bag you think would be good, please post a link so I can check it out. I'd like to keep it under 200 if possible, though. Thanks!

Just got the lowepro backpack and love it, more storage and great for so many needs.

I'd say stay with the bag you have, and just get a Zing neoprene camera cover/wrap.

jherman: Thanks for letting me know! I'll probably stick to getting the lowepro.

inkista: I would probably do that, but I'm also looking at how easy something would be to just snatch from my shoulder. The sling would be much harder to take, while something that just hangs on one shoulder could be taken easily. Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it.

Wink okay

Not to hurt anyones feelings but if they want it bad enough they will take it. I laugh at people that won't use the branded camera straps that shout out canon or nikon pentax whatever all they have to do is see the camera logo say thats a good one I'll take it.

Try keeping your current bag inside a diaper bag. Noone wants steals a diaper bag.
