Default Small Bag

I got a backpack from lowepro and it seems that it is too big for me to carry around during day.

So I was wondering if there's any recommendation from you guys. I am looking for a bag that is small enough for me to carry around in a daywalk or hike. I got D60 with 70-300mm lens, 50mm prime, and 18-55mm lens and my small bendy gorillapod.

I am eyeing on Slingshot 100, but I am not really sure if it will fit? Also if the 200 will be small enough or will it appear big? I am a 5'3" guy so don't really wanna look like carrying big bag around the day. And the fastpack that I have is to be used only for travelling.

thanks.

Try a Naneu Lima Pro bag, that should do the trick: Lima Shoulder Bag - Travel Backpacks, Camera Cases & Messenger Bags for Travelers On The Go - Military Ops Series | Naneu

I'm not really a big fan of shoulder bags coz I always want to free up my sides.

The slingshot100 will be too small. The 200, however, will fit everything (with a bit of room to spare), but will be a bit bigger. still not huge.

I always had room to spare in the Slingshot 200, and I was carting around my Olympus E500 with Sigma 105mm Macro lens attached + 14-45mm lens + 40-150mm lens + all associated lens hoods + cleaning gear + charger (totally useless when you're out in the middle of nowhere). Basically, I tossed every piece of camera gear I had into the bag - and still had room left over.

I pared down to the Rezo 170 AW; yes, it's a shoulder bag. I wear the strap on one shoulder with the bag on the opposite hip (so the strap is crossing my chest), and just shove the bag behind me when I need to bend down. The 170 Also has a belt attachment, so you can slide a belt through to help keep it in place. Inside that, I've carried my Olympus w/attached 105mm macro lens + 70 - 300mm lens + Metz 48 AF flash and a tabletop tripod.

I've only recently had to move up to the 180 AW because I want to take 1 more lens with me (my 14-45mm for wide angle) on vacation. The 180 doesn't have belt loops, but acts just like the 170 and still gives me plenty of room to spare.

One of the reasons I switched from the Slingshot (which, BTW, is one of the 2 bags I won't be selling when I get back from vacation) to the Rezo was the need to get at a water bottle considerably faster than the Slingshot would allow. I live in central Texas, and when you're wandering out in the middle of nowhere, in July, in 80%+ humidity, water is a must. Try as I might, i just couldn't get the bottle bag situated in a spot where either I could get at it easily, or water wasn't constantly dribbling down my back. I basically had to take the entire pack off to get at it, and when you're already hot & sweaty, it was far too cumbersome and awkward, and required me to STOP.

Like with all bags, it's a YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). Needs change, so does your bag
