Canon 15-85 or Tamron 28-75?

I've finally decided on a replacement walk-around lens for my Canon T1i (it now has the kit lens 18-55), and have narrowed it down to these 2 choices:

Canon 15-85 f/3.5-5.6
Tamron 28-75 f/2.8

Although I've read many reviews on these 2 lenses, does anyone own either one that may share some info or perhaps post some pics?

The 15-85 gives you a considerably greater range that extends to the wide-angle and into the telephoto. The 28-75 is fairly long on a T1i. It does have an advantage: f/2.8 constant aperture is nice.

My personal choice would be the Tamron because of the f/2.8. I'd sacrafice the extra focal range for that low f/stop so I can shoot in low light.

The Tamron hands down, since I got mine it hasnt left my 500D's body. I love love love it, i think the two where made for each other here is a sample of what the two can produce together



You wont regret the tamron in my opinion

Thanks again for the advice... the Tamron won the battle Will be getting it very soon from B&H and looking forward to exploring out with the new lens....
