Default [Help] My Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM is producing not sharp images.

Hello everybody, i think my lens didn't perform very well i took this shot with tripod and self timer, with different diaphragm.
this is the thumbnail :

first one is f1,4 second f,16 third f1,8 , i use Canon EOS 7D for the body.

To be honest, I can't see quite where the focus is in your shots but there is a lot going on, which makes it hard to tell. Try photographing a ruler instead, like this:

Ruler, 1s, f/2.8, ISO 200 @ 50mm

That's one of a series I did when I got my Raynox DCR-250 macro adaptor. It was a very useful exercise in understanding depth of field but would also prove a way of testing the sharpness of a lens, with a clear contrast between in and out of focus areas.

Is that across the whole frame? Or a crop of a small portion of the image?

If that's across the whole frame, and on every image, I'd guess someone dropped that lens or something and caused one or more of the elements to shift and decenter, and it needs servicing.

That sounds like the main issue. At f/1.4 your DoF is so small. Not to mention the fact that the lens is nowhere near it's sharpest at those settings as well.
