Hi,
I was just wondering what is the best way to clean the glass of the lens? I noticed there were some tiny water spray marks on the lens glass. (probably due to me photographing some fountains, with water mist in the air) I have a Giotto rocket air, which is good for getting dust and particles off. I also have some cheap Opti clear lens wipes (26 for a £1) that I have used on the lcd but not sure if it will be ok for the lens glass? Any advice on the best way to clean the Lens glass would be great! Thanks, Mike |

If the lens wipes are a soft microfiber type cloth, then go ahead and use them. They will almost certainly be ok.
Personally, I tend to leave minor spatter on my lens. It never shows up unless you have something both large AND opaque. When I do clean, I try to do it dry, or else with a tiny bit of water. The main trouble you'll run into is that multicoated lenses are hard to clean, well, cleanly -- the coating tends to smear around a bit. It's no harm, but it does make it harder to get a lens that looks good from the outside. (Photos, however, still look fine.)

+1 for Lenspen. Use the brush end first, then the cleaning end.
