Hello all, hopefully someone will be able to help with this rather odd situation.
I have a sony a700 body, and it works perfectly using autofocus with all other lenses I pair it up with. attach the minolta dynax 28mm to it and something funny happens.... the autofocus works, tells me I have a lock after moving the focus on the lens, but the picture isnt in focus. Its easy to set it to focus in manual mode, but its consistently out with autofocus. This isnt happening with other lenses. Does anyone know whats going on?... the camera thinks its focused correctly Thanks in advance James |

It could simply be front or rear focusing. Does the A700 have a fine-tune function for autofocus?
Failing that, it may need to be repaired.

Im not sure to be honest, I havent delved that deeply yet. I will have to have a look through the spec/manual again. When I get home I will mount the lens again and work out which way its out if that makes any sense. |
