Exclamation Macro vs. Prime (Upgrading Kit Lens)

So I have the Canon Rebel XTi and I have 3 lenses so far...

1.) 18-55 mm (kit lens)
2.) 10-20 mm wide angle
3.) 70-300mm IS telephoto

However I am looking to upgrade my kit lens. For starters I was trying to decide between either the:
a.) Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
b.) Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro

What would be a good lens to upgrade my kit lens? What are pros and/or cons to both? And if you were in my situation what would you buy?

Thanks!

The
Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro will expand your shooting possibilities
and appears to be a good lens (I don't own one).
Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens Review

and the 50mm F1.8 will be better for low light shooting. It is good value for money (I own one)

Neither will replace your kit lens - for that I would suggest the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM If you are looking for a fast IS lens or the Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM if you are looking a slower general purpose zoom.

What are your priorites?

Faced with a similar decision, I purchased a Canon 5D with a Canon 24-105 F4 L IS USM lens.to complement my 40D
