Hi all,
I'm torn between the 85L mark i or ii for my 7D canon. has anybody ever compare these two? I can get the mark 1 used for half the price of the mark 2. please give me some enlightenment. thanks |

I have the 85 f/1.2 L II and according to Canon EF 85/1.2L II USM Lens Review - photo.net, the II offers improved autofocus speed and transmits focus distance information to the camera, increasing the accuracy of flash exposure.
I think the improved autofocus speed is the most important feature of the II. |

85L is known for the bokeh. I tried the mark 1 version for shooting with candle light in background. When it's in 1.2 the candle light produces a very round bokeh. but stopped down to 1.8 the bokeh becomes an octagonal. Is this happen also with the 85L mark 2?
