Default External Power for strobes

Can anyone recommend a battery pack/power supply for using my lighting equipment outdoors? I want to be able to run at least 2 strobes/lightboxes for outdoor photo shoots. I heard about one method of using a motorcycle battery with an inverter, but would prefer not to have to jerry-rig something, and just buy it.

Thanks.

What kind of strobes?

For AC studio types there are a few options. Innovatronics makes a nice one and AlienBees has a little smaller one... VagabondII

You can use any 12v battery and a pure sine wave inverter of sufficient output...

Thanks. I'll check 'em out. A buddy of mine has a Ferrari Testarossa. I'm trying to get him to let me shoot at sunset here in the desert, but want to light it in front with the sunset in the background.

Thanks again.

If you decide to just get a 12v and inverter, make SURE it is a "pure sine wave" inverter...most are "modified sine wave".
Why it makes a difference for something as simple as a strobe I don't know, but apparently it does.
