Question about Macro lense -- Need responce ASAP

Is Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Auto Focus Macro Lens mountable on Nikon D5000 camera ???

Mountable, sure. Auto focus, nope. With Sigma, you need HSM lenses.

I have this lens, and the autofocus works with my Nikon D70S. So unless the Nikon mount has changed it should be ok.

The D70s is a totally different animal than the D5000. The issue isn't the mount, but the focusing motor.

That being said, in Macro work, manual focus is often easier than the autofocus.
