Ok heres the story, wanted to try out studio lighting, been pricing stuff, reading reviews etc. Originally was going to go strobes, but saw today at wolf, a Smith Victor 2 light budget set up for 99.99 bucks, figured what the heck for that price the stands are worth it., It came with 2 250watt photo flood bulbs.
First bulb went out after about 2 mins of use, drove all the way back and got a replacement, out of their display model box cause they dont stock the bulbs. Back home, set them back up, and decided to play around with the lighting and see if I cant get a good pic, well the other bulb blew after 5 mins of use, 5 pictures total! Now reading reviews most of these bulbs are rated to 60 hours, which I know is pushing it, but two after less then 5 mins each? Are there any decent bulbs that I can pickup for this, screwbase, or should I just chalk it up to nature of the type and wait and add the strobe heads to the stands? Really glad I didnt but the three light kit now.
