Talking Moon Shot

I don't know if this is where I should post this and if I'm wrong, please point me to the right direction.

So here goes, I took a chance to shoot the moon earlier today and came up with this.

My question is, what can I do to make it better. I'd like to get a little more detail for my next try. Hehe.

Photo details:

Camera: Nikon D3000
Lens: AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G VR IF-ED
Exposure: 1/50 sec at f/5.6
Focal Length: 200mm
ISO Rating: 200
Flash: Did not fire

Hi there!

Very nice pictures and framing around it. I'm not aware how D3000 handles noise at higher ISO but I would try to boost ISO little higher, put f-stop as high as possible but to look for and be careful with exposure time to keep it relatively short. All these, should help you getting a sharper and therefore better image. You can also try sharpening in post-processing. But this is the only thing what could be made better according to me. Anyway, great shot!
