Default Sappy

I posted this shot originally about an hour ago in Share Your Shots... and I really decided that I am not totally satisfied with this shot, and want some other peoples opinions. I really mostly am curious about compositional ideas, if you want, I can take more pictures of the surrounding area it was taken at (my dorm room window.) Do you think the colors portray a mood, or is it too bland? I was going for a sort of depressing-ish, trapt in mood, did I succeed?

It does a good job with conveying nostalgia and trapped-in-ness. I also like that the portion we can see outside the window is desaturated, because I think that helps. The problem is that in the dark, there is so little detail to be seen that it sort of overwhelms the picture. If the view could have been moved just a fifth of a frame right, I think that might help getting rid of the massive blackness.

But well done!

I really liek the shot, but it seems a little crooked.
The [brick] wall isn't quite straight.
its a bit dark too, but it sorta fits the image.
Other than that, I like it

I tried moving the shot over a bit, but it really totally lost its mood. The line of the white pully-thing (yeah... mental block on what that is called) really helps the shot out, and I think without the reflection then it sorta loses the whole trapped in feeling. If I lightened up the shot, would it still retain its mood? Any other ideas for the composition? Do you think the original is better? What would you do to the original shot to keep the trapped in mood?

I like it the way it is.
And I like the emphasis on the 'white pully thing'

It's really good!
