The exposure looks good, but perhaps I would have exposed it a little more - perhaps 1/3 of a stop. But, that's just me.

I would have liked to see a larger moon with a tighter crop, though.

Nice job.

detail is good on the moon, but if you have the focal length available, it'd be a little nicer.

It's a good moon shot. I would have processed it differently, but that's a matter of taste. If it was me, I would crop tighter, leaving plenty of nice dark sky, but bringing the moon more into the forefront. Basically, your same composition in terms of moon placement, just less night sky.

Then, I would find one of the brighter points on the moon and set that as my white point. You'd probably want to play around until you got one that looked right to your eye. This will bring a little variation in your night sky, so I'd hit one of the "slightly less black" patches with my black point, rendering the night back into the smooth inky blackness.

Finally, your shot can stand some sharpening if you want (if you crop night, it'll make the moon larger and more prominent in the picture and this is when you can see the to sharpen it just a bit, but luckily, moon shots sharpen up nicely).

Pretty shot regardless of changes. My highest zoom lens is 200mm, I like your view at 300mm.
