Red face lazy afternoon

hi all,

i just got a dslr (an upgrade from my point and shoot) and im new in photography. im new here at DPS as well. here's one of my first shots. i made a few adjustment on the expoosure....

any feedback is much appreciated. thanks!

Hi, I'm certainly no expert but i like the shot, it looks nicely focused and I like that the pooch is off centre. I do notice the pots in the background so maybe a plainer background would work better. The expression on the face is great too, makes you wonder what he/she is thinking or looking at. well done

I agree! Photoshop out the posts and I'd also remove the white spot on the right (just clone it out on photoshop) and you have an excllent pic. At that point, you may even be able to brighten it a bit more. It's a cute pic. wlecome to DSLR land. I got my first DSLR back in Sept and think I've shot at least 2,000 pics since. It's so much fun!
