I was trying to capture the twinkle of the lights on my christmas tree, but lost the color in the background..its more amber. Any thoughts on to how to improve on this picture..Its ok, be brutal, I'm learning

You did get the twinkle of the lights and the background color can be corrected as mentioned, but I noticed how straight the tree looked and how tilted the the room looked. I don't know enough about photography and equipment to suggest a fix for that tho.
