Default New Memeber First Critque

I took this picture at the Ice Exhibit at Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando Fl. This is one of my fist attempts a composing a picture. Is there anything i could have done different?

hey, carl.....

very nice image......good choices on exposure and depth of field.....white balance looks great...

your main subject, that lovely red ball could be moved a tad to the left in the frame.....yeah, the rule of thirds sounds overly simplistic, but in this case i feel it would help pop that ornament......

Hi Carl,

I agree with peeperita. The only thing I would add is that I would try not to cut off the dragonfly's wing on the top of the frame.
